Christmas

My cousin got blessed on Christmas day so I thought it would be great to experiment with some new flavors for the season. I made the regular cherry chip, vanilla, oreo and carrot but also added EGGNOG and GINGERBREAD!
Yum! I also made tin cans into santa hats and added 8 of these festive pops for my lucky neighbors. I really wish I would have gotten pictures of all of them and the cans. They were adorable. These snowmen ones are eggnog.

I'm a Barbie Girl

My aunt Elsha had a birthday party to plan for her 10 year old step daughter. She wanted a Barbie party so I came up with bedazzled purple and pink cake pops. Here is one design. These are cherry chip.

My Favorite Cake Pops So Far!

These were for a customer who just had a baby. She wanted to give something to all the people that helped take care of her and her baby while they were in the hospital. There were 4 bouquets of 2 dozen. They are so adorable and even better is they taste fantastic.  Thanks to my aunt Angie for making the signs and cute add-ons. :) She is the craft queen!

I was seriously stressing out about how in the world we
were going to make cookie crumbs out of paper but some how I
underestimated the talents of Angie Lou.

I know I got a lot of pictures but I wish I got some close ups of the oreo, they are so amazing! Amazing looking and tasting!

First Day of School

My aunt was starting her first day of teaching high school so I immediately thought to make her these apple shaped cake pops. They are so fun. Instead of being on sucker sticks they are on pencils in a pencil cup so she can reuse it when the cake pops are eaten. They are carrot (her favorite cake) and chocolate. This was my first order like this so hopefully the next ones (next week) will look even cuter. Again sorry about the bad lighting.

Happy Birthday Jesser!

I was trying to be all sneaky about making these for my littlest brother. I knew his favorite color was black but black cake pops aren't that appetizing so I asked him what his other favorite colors were and he said red and green... Christmas colors. Oh well I think they worked out beautifully and can give you an idea of what to choose for your cake pops in December.

Happy Birthday Crystal!

This order was a gift for my friend's friend. They are chocolate and vanilla, great for groups since someone always likes one or the other. Sorry about the horrible lighting!

The Big Day!

My goal was to make 400 cake pops for my sister's wedding. We sent out 600 invitations so some were worried we would not have enough. Once I started I just kept going and going until I had 800 plus pops that needed decorating. Way over what I planned but I had 20 pounds of candy melt and decided I would just decorate until it was gone. About 14 hours later and 6 periodic helpers we only had about 25 that didn't get covered. It was crazy but soo worth it! They were the talk of the wedding. I didn't hear one bad thing and I was looking! My mom made the white stand for me. She is amazing! She had the idea for the vases and my sister and I decorated them. It was a lot of team work for my first big event. Now I know I can do it alone next time. I am really excited about it. We served Triple Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Carrot and Lemon. More pictures will come later.

Congratulations to Misti and Brian!

I'll Take That!

With my sister's wedding coming up I decided I deserved to get some twinkle toes from one of our friends. She said she would love to trade a pedicure for cake pops! Heck yes! I got new sprinkles (I had twinkle toes on my mind) and experiemented with them. They turned out way cute.

The Best Occasion To Give Cake Pops

In my opinion it is after a mom has just had a baby. I remember after I had mine all that sounded good was light things like bread and cake. Some of our good friends had just had a beautiful girl so I made them this bouquet. They loved it!

I'm such a germ freak haha I wrapped them individually AND put them in a box but hey it was for my own piece of mind. They were going to be in a hospital!

Graduation

I got this idea from Bakerella but I changed it up a bit. I used a square cookie for the top and did them in Morgan High's school colors. These ones are white cake with bits of color inside. Next time I will make more time and make them look nicer, since they were only for my cousin and uncle they worked just fine.

Work Birthday Party

I had to help my little brother with a bee report last night on top of an order for 3 dozen cake pops that my sweet husband informed me of a few hours before. These one's are also Triple Chocolate Fudge, it is a favorite. Here is the finished product at 4 a.m. I knew I would be up late so I drank a Monster energy drink and it made me all shakey so I am pretty excited that they turned out as well as they did AND about my amazing sleep deprived wrapping job. Not bad at all! :)

Triple Chocolate Fudge

I made these for a family party tomorrow. They are amazing! My favorite so far. These are way better than flowers. Keep in mind, these are not your average cake pops. They are fluffy and not overly sweet. They're "Just Right!"

Get Em While They're Hot!!

Test run for Misti's wedding!

They are soo yummy!
I'm doing it! Easter Sunday at my mother-in-law's I noticed an email she had printed off from a friend entitled "Cake Pops." I was immediately interested. I don't really like a lot of desserts but lately I have been helping my sister Misti plan her wedding on a tight budget. I thought these were a great idea for a refreshment that will compliment what we have already picked. They couldn't be that hard right? Right.... Only problem is they are disgusting. They have a play dough consistency and after much research these things are getting very popular but hardly anyone has fixed this serious problem. A lot people have also complained about them being way too sweet. I don't like either of these problems. In fact, when I made them the first time I forced myself to bite into it and gagged and had to spit it out.

My point is that I have perfected these cake pops better than anyone I can find online or at bakeries. They are delicious and so easy to eat! After a lot of hesitation Spence and I have decided that I will start selling them. I haven't worked out everything yet but I am really excited and nervous. It isn't going to be anything big. I'm just going to put it out there and see where it goes. I love the idea for weddings, birthdays, showers, basically any kind of party. I can design them however you would want them too.

Keep in mind we decided this last night. I came up with a name and registered a blog (justrightcakepops.blogspot.com) but that is it! I haven't came up with a price list nor do I have pictures of all of my ideas but if you can dream it I can probably make it work. Give me some feedback and wish me luck! :)
